Billy started his racing career in karts when he was 8 years old. He racked up numerous local wins along with victories in more prestigious events such as Thanksgiving Thunder and the Bobby Looper Memorial Race over his karting career.

In August of 2023, Billy made the transition to full-sized stock cars, running the final 4 Limited Late Model races at Hickory Motor Speedway. He was able to get his first top 10 in just his second career start.

In 2024, Billy would commit to running the full season at Hickory Motor Speedway. He finished the season with 16 top 10s through 17 races which included 6 top 5s, 4 podiums, and his first ever win in just his 16th start.

Billy entered Championship weekend in 2024 with an outside shot at winning the Big 10 Championship. Ultimately he would finish 3rd in both the Big 10 Series along with 3rd in the Hickory Motor Speedway season points while also winning Rookie of the Year and Most Improved Driver.
